it was everyday in the 70s and 80s... tomcats harassed the shite out of bears all the time.

other than the venerable A10, there will never be a more badass looking modern military fighter than the Navy F14 & (USAF)F15 Eagle IMO. Strictly from a visual perspective. F4 is close though.

Very true, being a member of flight crew on the Navy predecessor to the Poseidon (P3-C), we would buzz Russian surface combatants in the Med. until we were couple hundred yards out then turn on our wing mounted search light (as I recall it was an 8Mil. candle power light) and make them change all their 'watches'. Further, during daylight operations, we would 'fly over' their surface combatants and dump our garbage.....and other 'stuff' on them. That kind of stuff I am sure still goes on. Russian pilot was showing off. Am sure we NEVER do that to them in the Med...…...
