I have to think that the China flu will make Louisiana lose even more of its educated and middle class citizens. NOLA, BR, Shreveport and Monroe have shitty mayors who are largely in office due to identity politics. NOLA Mayor is saying no major events until 2021. Is she trying to get a federal bailout or trying to irreparably destroy NOLA? The current governor is in bed with entrenched Black political bosses who exploit poor Blacks while hollering racism and they are excused for it. The Governor has raised taxes in Louisiana and I can't see where the money has gone/going. The Governor also hasn't done much in the way of job creation. This is a shitty environment that Democrats thrive in. Is this the point that Louisiana just completely submerges in the shitter?

I'm sure Birmingham, Mobile and Montgomery have a Rand Paul type as mayors.

Maybe so. If you had to give over under odds of the next 10 mayors of Mobile being Democrat I'd easily put it at 8 and wouldn't touch the under

After what we’ve witnessed from the Democrat Party since Nov. ‘16 it baffles me how anyone could be so stupid as to still believe in and Support any Democrat. You literally have to be complete divorced from all logic, reason, and sanity itself to do so.

Illinois' governor has said he may prohibit all events through the end of summer. Indiana shut down their schools for the rest of the year. People are being stupid.

If you're a Republican in a Democratic state your only way to fight back is to REFUSE PARTICIPATING IN THE CENSUS. If enough people do it your state could lose a congressional seat which could end up in Republican run states. I've gotten 3 letters and a postcard so far. I used them to help get the grill going last weekend. No chance in hell they send out people to bang on your door this year.

You can’t be that educated if you’re living in Louisiana voluntarily

In the second grade I moved from Baton Rouge to Huntsville, AL. There's no city in Louisiana today that can compare to Huntsville in the 1980s. Huntsville in 2020? Please. Alabama has its issues but it is a better ran state than Louisiana. I would even argue Arkansas and Mississippi are also ran better than Louisiana. I still have a lot of family in Louisiana and visit often. I get angry when I see how little the politicians are doing in Louisiana.

Amen brother, how someone can pull the lever for a Democrat after the last 3 years is as scary as it is disgusting.

You realize economically Louisiana is damn near socialist. The average voter doesn’t care about balanced budgets or reducing spending, they want their hand out whether it be Medicaid, WIC, TOPS in its current form, their state government job, etc. There’s a reason someone like JBE won twice, especially against a true conservative like Vitter in 2015, he is just enough “socially conservative” to win over the “republicans” in the state.

I’ll never see an actual conservatively run Louisiana in my lifetime, which is a damn shame because it has a lot to offer this country.

First of all, what makes you think Covid is affecting the educated and middle class.
Second of all, take this to the poli board.
Third, all Louisiana politicians are equally inept, regardless of affiliation.

Republican Best Path to Regaining Governorship of Louisiana

1) Don’t talk about a US border wall in a state election when that state doesn’t have a land border
2) Don’t undercut each other in the primary phase and leave the only unscathed member be the democratic candidate
3) If you do win, realize a Louisiana conservative has some cultural tendencies that are different from conservatives from other states - and don’t undermine those if you plan to run for president half way through a term.

It's "run", not "ran."
