It doesn’t develop QBs. They take skills that they already have, stand still in a pocket with no pressure, then throw to 4 and 5 star receivers that aren’t on their real team.
While it is true there is no pressure it is also true that you have ot get rid of the ball within 4 seconds. At least that is how it works with my son's league in Spring, TX. He is in 7th grade and the Bridgeland HS coach got a group of kids to play on a team. There are two middle schools hat feed the HS so he got a 7th and 8th grade team. The team is coached by the HS seniors who are all great kids. I think it is just a way for him to get kids interested early. He must be doing something right because the school is three years old and they had a great season last year with their first varsity team. All my interactions with him have been great. Seems like all the kids (junior and high school) have a great relationship with him. I think he just utilizes it to get his kids more reps and help them bond.
His starting QB is also a absolute beast. Started as a sophomore last year and already getting some power 5 offers. Although apparently he'll be going high in the MLB draft over a year from now so maybe he wont be playing football after next season.

I don’t care if they were playing along or if it’s part of the culture of 7 on 7, this video looked bad and very unsportsmanlike. If the players can be identified, they should miss the first game this fall
You should miss posting on the Recruiting Board. Permanently.

I disagree. You have four seconds to make a decision to throw to one of five receivers covered by 7 defenders (all of whom do not have to consider a run). Most 7 on 7 defenses play Cover 5, Cover 2 or Tampa Cover 2. I ain't easy at all. And those reps pay dividends, particularly for the kids in middle school who start early.

LOL, he bugged out to Georgia after Katrina. Did he stay to help kids? No.
How many offers in the rest of LA did he have?
None
Legendary for what?

My 2 cents as a person ignorant to the 7 on 7 world.
I hated it.
But, by just watching that clip it seems to be something that is accepted. No one was getting mad, it was just stupid IMO.
