That's exactly what I was getting at, we know he can rush, he may need to put on some weight to become a 3 down guy

If guys like Deion Jones are big enough to play in the NFL, then this Jabril Cox guy sure as hell is big enough to play in the SEC.

Also, Duke Riley and Kwon Alexander were not huge guys either and did just fine in the SEC.

What does Brooks need a year for? The kid is an athlete and he can play the LB spot at 215-220, he played rush OLB at 200.

sounds like Brooks isn't thrilled about his current position. he's a player and needs to be on the field. kind of a hybrid OLB / S type.

No, different players.

He is smooth and looks very good in coverage

Correct, this kid is nowhere near a thumper needed to man the middle.

He's best in space so he'll end up at weakside.

Hell Patrick Queen too. I think we’ll see Damone in the middle and Cox at weakside. Will be a great duo and as long as Clark keeps developing this duo could be as good as Queen/Phillips. Big time potential there and Pellini wil get the most out of them

Top Billin' routinely bugs the shite out of me.

That video is yet another great example of his uncorroborated hyperbolic statements like "..would be HELL on WHEELS!" or "If this speed demon plays weakside at LSU, he will be DYNO-MITE!"... then proceeds , in a 14 min video, to breakdown 12 mins straight of some piss-poor linebacking worthy of a walk-on.

I've watched some Cox games & highlights, and those weaknesses are drowned out by his strengths. It's why he was the most decorated FCS defensive player. He's a playmaker in coverage and a lightning bolt on blitzes/behind the line. Top Billin is right: Cox is Hell on Wheels, but as usual, you wouldn't learn that from a Top Billin' film study.

Weak side LB a better fit. Cox is fast & athletic, but not a very physical player.

I will be shocked if he doesn’t sign with LSU.

After watching that top billin video on YouTube I don't mind at all if we miss on jabril Cox and I don't see why we need him. Players like Jacoby Stevens and Marcel Brooks or one of the freshman, Ojulari or Webb, should be able to do what he does but do it better and are more physical
But I will say that if Bo Pelini and coach Orgeron want him and believe he would help the defense then I'm all in. But from watching that video I just don't see it

Jabril and his parents arrived and then had to get right back on the plane without visiting and go home because of the moratorium.
