This is for all the naysayers and the arm strength doubters.

FWIW - I think our QB situation will be just fine.

Maybe I'm a glass half-empty kinda guy, but those highlights make worry about our cornerbacks...especially the long throw to Byrd where he juked everyone out. But I guess Demetrius is just that good

Hatch's arm strength appears to be mediocre at best.

If Hatch plays like that in summer practice, then he will start. His biggest problem is he's had surgery on his knee and I guarantee you they'll do a lot of options and designed plays while he's in. Big injury risk.

However, Lee outshined Hatch in spring practice (before the game) and has the better arm. That pass to Byrd was money and if he can do that consistently, then he will be an outstanding QB.

Notice also a lot of those clips showed Hatch playing with #2 offense vs #1 D. Deciding between 2 able QBs: What a great problem to have.

Great footage on Lee,glad to see some of the nay sayers can watch the next Colt McCoy.

Lee was a 4-star recruit in a talent rich state,ESPN recruiting called him on the best in the nation in his class and said he has zip on his balls.

That youtube video showed how accurate he is and he throws one damn pretty ball after another, all spirals.

And why do a lot of people on here say we need a smart qb that can protect the ball, this isn't soccer people.

Herm Edwards said it"you play to win the game" and we need a qb to make all the throws and help us score,Lee is the guy.Maybe even Hatch too. Both are good

Lee will be the starting qb once fall ball rolls around.

from the videos, I'd have to go with Hatch. I hate to leave my boy from Texas out but he looks to have a ground game edge over Lee...

There is a good article on Crowton's preparation of the QBs in the Shreveport Times this morning.

Based on the Youtube clips, I would say Hatch is the man. But what the coaches don't know and what Crowton points out is - how will the three QBs handle the live rounds? Will they throw into triple coverage? Will they fumble? Will they put too much air under the pass where it becomes a jump ball situation?

We will likely not know that answer until the 3rd game of the season, but I suspect Hatch will be named the starter for the App State game.

Though i am very concerned about the QB position, I will say this about Hatch.

While his armstrength is certainly no better than Flynn/Mauck (not much worse, either), he is actually more athletic running the ball than both of them. For a "harvard" white boy, he can flat out but and move. He also throws well on the run.

He may not be the answer for the next few seasons, but there is no doubt he CAN get it done. We will be seeing him running the ball ALOT this year IMO, especially in the option game with Keiland, Trindon, and RM.
