Yes i was 10 years old in 1958 and certainly old enough to enjoy it to its fullest. I started listening to LSU games in 1957 and saw the '58 team play 4 times. I can tell you where I sat in Tiger Stadium for that first game against Hardin-Simmons.
I was also in Tiger Stadium for the first sellout in Tiger Stadium history. 68,000 for the Ole Miss game.....which the Tigers won 14-0.

The '58 team was very appreciated by kids and and adults for what it accomplished, there wasn't as much media then and grown men didn't wear the jerseys of 19 year old boys, but there were songs published about the team, Life magazine gave them a spread, etc.
