In prison, deployed, or just don't care... what's the longest you've gone?

About 8 weeks over last summer not counting FaceTime. Let my kids spend the summer with their grandparents and I missed them terribly.

It is weird. They drive me crazy but after a day away, I am always longing to see them.

Months due to work. I've missed so much of their lives it sucks. I have a soon to be ex wife that doesn't make it any easier. I'm going to make it my mission to be there alot more in couple years.

They are young but they appreciate me. Contact while at work is minimal. I'll see them next week

About one week because I was travelling back and forth into Vegas to spend time with my mom when she was in hospice care.

9 days for work. He's not even 2 though, so no lengthy time apart. He might spend two weeksish away with his grandparents this summer.

We talking about in person, where you can actually hug and kiss them, or are we talking about with technology where we can FaceTime, Skype, etc?

In person, I’ve gone about 6-7 months at the longest stretch.

About 3 weeks when the fam was transitioning to another city. It was really hard. Lonely sad nights when I just wanted to hold them so badly. 5,3 and 2 year old.
