Nope.

Safe to say the wealthy are paying more than their fair share. Or I have a shitty tax accountant (looking at you, mother).

I had a friend who was a high income w-2 earner...paid 300k in taxes...

he said he knew friends that gain their wealth from investments, cash flow and said they don't pay much at all...because there are so many ways to shield from taxation... he said it bothered him when they would brag about it on the golf course how low their tax bill was...while he he paying 35% with limited deductions

If your friend has income at that level, he should also be in that group that gains wealth from investments and cash flow.

I mean based on the numbers you posted, he's pulling in almost a million a year.

Please explain to me how taxation is not theft

According to Google, the first known taxation took place in Egypt about 5,000 years ago. It might be time to stop melting about the CONCEPT of taxation.
If you started a human community from scratch, you would need a sharing of responsibilities for it to work, and it would eventually evolve into a tax. It's inescapable.
And frankly the "taxation is theft" mantra is childish and boring.

That would be voluntary. Taxation is not voluntary, it happens at the barrel of a gun.

So what would you do when a member of the community wanted to share in the benefits of living in a community but refused to contribute?

The threat/use of force is also inescapable.

Whether or not to tax isn't the question. The question is how and at what levels. Unfortunately for us, those questions seem to be in poor hands right now. This also seems inescapable to me, in a Democracy.

Kick them out of the community, not lock them in prison or confiscate their property.

The government uses threat of violence, imprisonment, and fines to make sure you pay your taxes. How is that not theft? If I take a gun, point it someone's face, take their money, and give it to a charity... a theft still took place.

If I took $5k from you to change your oil and rotate your tires and instead drove your car off a cliff and left it in a fiery wreck, then told you I'd need another $12k to clean up the mess, you would be cool with that? That's what we're dealing with.

This is obvious moving of the goal posts, and does nothing to actually argue if taxation is theft.

Kicking someone out of a country is far worse than forcing them to pay reasonable taxes.

If your position is that we can have functioning societies with no form of enforced shared responsibility, the burden of evidence is on you.

I don't think productive people really have a problem with the idea of shared responsibility. Our politicians have corrupted the whole thing by setting up a system where some people get to be freeloaders while others have to pay taxes "at the barrel of a gun".

And continue to double down by promising more free shite to get elected and enrich themselves, and then pointing a bigger gun at the folks trying to get by and demanding more of their hard earned money to pay for it....theft.
