My team was FSU, but I always “liked” LSU. Then the Indy Bowl in 1995 happened and I fell deeply in LOVE with LSU football from that day on.

When I moved to LA in 1984
Wendell Davis and Tommy Hodson on a humid Saturday night. There waa no natty. No playoff. Just win. I was hooked from the jump.

I used to play football, rn im 21, but at age 14-15, i watched the tm7 highlights to get pumpup for the games. I switched my number to 7, i was a LB, but my goal was to return a punt like tyrann. I was fast (i was in a track team) but i just dont had the Agility and vision to return punts.
Remember when Patrick helped Tyrann with his drugs problems and prepared him to the draft... at that moment i knew LSU is a family.

I already liked LSU, but I don’t remember many games prior to this. But 2002, I was 12, first LSU game. LSU vs Ole Miss, Eli Manning was their QB. LSU won 14-13. Atmosphere was electric. I was in love.

Earliest memory was LSU v Georgia 1998.... But apparently I was a fan earlier than that.

I grew up watching NFL almost exclusively. Most of the '90s, I only recall college football really being on the TV in our house on New Years Day. I don't think there were a lot of New Years bowls for LSU then.
The first time I really sat down and watched a full LSU game was on 11-9-02. I was 16 years old and a junior in HS. I was fascinated from the beginning but when Henderson caught that final pass, I was hooked. Went home and threw away all the college flyers but one.

I’ve lived all over but my family has always been based in Louisiana. First LSU experience was the 2005 Auburn game with the missed OT kick.
From that moment I was all LSU.

My grandfather had season tickets since the late 50’s. I can remember my first game in 1973 when I was 5 yrs old. From 1976-1987 I never missed a home game with my grandpa. Our traditional game day routine was leave Metairie at noon taking Airline Hwy the entire trip. Arrive on campus around 1pm, head to the Union cafeteria for lunch ( I always got fried chicken, 2 pints of chocolate milk, and a slice of pecan pie). Afterwards we’d visit the art gallery and head downstairs to the large ballroom to watch CFB games on the large TV, and eventually visit Mike in his habitat before entering TS. As an LSU fan, some things you never forget as I’ll always be thankful to my grandpa who raised me to be a Tiger fan. He always said the GBFTL’s pre-game intro Hold That Tiger was worth the price of admission.

It's just something about LSU vs MSU and those 100 yard returns
Craig Loston 100 yd INT return

This will sound like a bandwagon post, but I was a bit late in picking up football compared to most kids in south Louisiana. Didn't really take an interest until middle school. It happens that the year I started middle school, LSU beat Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl for its first title in the modern era. That was the first game I watched. Pretty lucky

I was actually searching for another one. When I was a kid we loved in Mississippi and we went to all the LSU games (my dad was an LSU grad but we liked football)
I think there was close to a 100 yard int at one of the games in Starkville in a tight game

And whenever LSU beat Tulane. My dad graduated from there; I became a Tiger fan due to teenage rebellion. Lol
