While you as a Georgian gloat, understand that these throngs from New Jersey have changed the political landscape....Newt Gingrich old district now has a Democrat....Stacy Abrams came within a hair of becoming, Gov. Gap Tooth....like I said, colonizers

Housing costs in Cali is the main reason people are leaving. Cali is a victim of its own success. But Cali is also adding more people at the higher income levels than other states. The majority of the New Yorkers leaving are boomer retirees moving to florida. Illinois is too damn cold.

Could this have more to do with he fact that (at least according to your bio) you’re in Memphis? Ive heard not so great things about Memphis, though pretty good things about the rest of the state ...

Most people don't just up and leave for the hell of it, or because they don't like their state's tax policy.

They move because they move for a job, either relocated by their company, or relocate for a better job offer.

They don't understand the reason why those better / newer jobs are not in their current states... is because of the politicans in those states, and their polices (tax/financial/legal/regulatory/etc).

So they get to their new state and still want all the progressive stuff their old state has... and they want the higher wage (which is why they moved) and they don't understand that the whole reason they have the higher wage is BECAUSE the new state doesn't have all the progressive stuff their old state has.

This board makes it sound like that north east and Cali transplants are moving to places like Livingston Parish and starting drag queen story time at local libraries.

OTers read some article that their Uncle emailed them that Californians are bringing "Shakira Law" to their hillbilly Hamlet and think it's gospel

You had any Drag Queen Read-Alongs at your local South Carolia library lately? Do they even have libraries in South Carolina?

Be careful on the gloat. New Yorkers and Californians may be more colonizers than refugees. See Nevada and Colorado....see Virginia as well.

Dems are registering 200-300k more voters than Republicans in Texas annually. It might take 10 years but Texas will be blue eventually.

Cali has the largest population by far so it's really probably a drop in the bucket. I bet there are other states that have a higher Exodus, per capita, than California

It’s fairly plain that if I lived in California I’d probably be a lot more down for sane people, quiet and wide open skies in Idaho too.
