Modern day vikings.

Do they keep statistics on how many women get seduced by visiting fans when LSU football travels? Pretty sure we would lead in that category as well.

That’s when LSU fans smashed their own record. By the time the game was over, Tiger Stadium had sold 60,687 beers, according to university records.

How many times over do y’all think we surpass that 61k tailgating outside the stadium? 10x’s?

It’s not just beer. We went to 3 different bars after the 2001 SEC championship and all were out of Crown Royal. One bartender commented: “y’all came in like a swarm of locusts and we were out of almost everything before we knew what hit us.”

Remember the 2011 Oregon game in Dallas. Our section ran out of beer in the 3rd Qtr. The guy behind the counter said he had never seen anything like it.

And the comment from some Ole Miss nerd.......

quote:

they ought to look at per capital consumption. LSU has a large stadium. Places like Ole Miss might consume more, but have smaller stadiums. Besides that, no one tailgates like Ole Miss. When you are drinking Hotty Toddy's there is no reason to spend time drinking thin light beer. My guess is Wisconsin or Iowa or Illinois could put the LSU folks under the table

He is right about one thing though...

quote:

no one tailgates like Ole Miss

I can't believe no one else finds it "great" to uncomfortably pile everyone into a de facto refuge tent camp to eat finger sandwiches and cold chicken fingers, before spending 20 minutes in the stadium, leaving early to get into the bars before the cover charge reaches $120 and rushing out of the bar promptly at midnight.

LSU fans are probably more obnoxious that any other college football fans. But at least they are genuine. Ole Miss spends every day pretending to be a "prestigious" university with a student body loaded with kids who were too dumb to get into ACTUAL prestigious universities

Quick test. Which one is the Grove?

That not even a beer per person. That's not a lot. I usually have about three.

The first statistical evidence for LSU’s drinking aptitude came in 2011, when the Tigers played at West Virginia, one of the first schools in the country that sold beer. The stadium sold $255,396 worth of booze that day—or 82% higher than the average of the other games in 2011.

82% higher

I'm proud to say I was in that number. I drank a good bit of their moonshine (clear, blueberry and banana) too. I had a blast (I think)!!!
