So are we to assume that O, if hired at A&M would have the same results there as he has here this year?

Yeah, I mean who would want a NC winning coach that was known for developing QBs.
What he has done at A&M has no bearing on if he would've been a good hire for LSU back then, because we're not A&M. This is just prisoner of the moment crap.

I can say truthfully I was not a Fisher fan at the time. He was the Mack Brown of the ACC. Win 10 games, but against generally inferior competition most years. I’m no Dabo fan, but he is doing at Clemson what Fisher should have been doing when he was at FSU if he was truly that great. And Herman at Houston was doing what he is doing at Texas, losing to inferior teams more often than he should have.

I never wanted him, at all...
Said from the very beginning that it would be an awful decision.
Outside of a generational quarterback and a basketball player at wr, he’s average.

I was in that group back then. But in hindsight I was even more of an idiot for wanting Herman.
