Very nice conversation with a Clemson booster yesterday. Knew football pretty well, does know the head coach and speaks to him on occasion. He was mainly worried about the home-field advantage LSU will have in New Orleans. He thinks their defense is comparable to LSU’s, thinks they’ll be able to stop the running attack with their linebackers. He really thought most else was equal, including quarterback talent and play. He thinks, and I agree, that it will be a pretty good game, should not be a blowout by either side. I wished him good luck and told him to have a good time in New Orleans. I think LSU is going to win the game though.

had a nice conversation with my brother over the holidays
he's born and raised in louisiana but knows football pretty well. neither one of us has met coach O. he thinks we're gonna win. i do too.

I kind of agree with you on that. I really think our QB is better than theirs, all in all. But what really raised my eyebrows is that he really believed Clemson is going to stop our run game. Does anyone think that is possible?

Sounds like a missed opportunity to take the conversation to a deeper level and actually have a real dialog about the game.
I guess I’m just a stickler for a “shoot the breeze conversation” when it comes to the technicalities of such a rich sport and stimulating ball game.

I would’ve like to talk to him longer, but we were both trying to catch a flight. He seemed to know what he was talking about though, very much involved with his program.

Had a nice conversation with my neighbor the other day he knows football pretty well I believe he does not know coach O nor has ever met him he believes LSU is gonna win I do to my wife on the other hand she doesn't know football and doesn't care who wins but she thinks LS u's going to win to my 2 cents.
