Lamberts Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants. Its worth the trip, if you are leaving New Orleans to Atlanta.

There’s honestly not much between Baton Rouge and Atlanta other than Mobile, Montgomery, & Auburn.

I wouldn’t say there’s great food options

We stopped at a McDonald's in Montgomery. Solid 4/10 which is pretty good for a McDonald's

Stop at BUC-EE’s and get a brisket sandwich with pickles and onions, you won’t be disappointed.

Made this trip many times. A few minutes quicker and way less hassle (traffic/cops) to go through Mobile/Montgomery than through Birmingham. Not as many places to eat though. We always stop at a mall just East of Auburn with several different choices.

It's been awhile but they did have a Dreamland BBQ in Mobile just off of I65 on Old Shell Rd. Not sure if it's still open. Also, I'm not a huge fan of it but some people really rave about it.

I guess I’ll be the first to actually name a place on the route.

In Montgomery, there is a Baumhauer's, Dreamland BBQ, Wentzel's Oyster House, and a new Walk-On's.

Jason's Deli, Buffalo Wild Wings, Full Moon BBQ.
