I don’t think Joe Burrow know just how much he meant to LSU, the fans and the state of Louisiana.

We all love Joe Burrow!

I really wish we could find a way to make some of the money available for school supplies and clothes.

Seeing as the donations are listed as going towards Athens County Food Pantry I'd imagine they have to get 100% of the money (legalities and all) but might be able to distribute some of it to schools for supplies and clothes once they receive the money.

I have a link to Athen’s County Children’s Services for the Santa Tree Wishlists and posting below for those who would like to contribute to that as well. There are 2 lists, one for teens and the other for children. It broke my heart to onky see 2 items in the Teens’ List - Nike socks and a makeup kit - although there are multiple requests for both. The Children’s List doesn’t have a whole lot of requests, either.

These people aren’t asking for IPhones or Xbox’s; they are asking for socks and makeup and Captain America Action Figures. All can be ordered through Amazon and delivered directly to the center for distribution. It would be amazing if this could be added to the OP.

Anyone know how to get this to the people at Chive Charities? They put this on their site, and I bet the donations hit seven figures.

Wow....I just stumbled upon this sticky. I have already donated. I’m very familiar with southeastern Ohio and the struggles in Appalachia, as I have lots of family from this area. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any and all who have donated. Many of us Ohio St fans still passionately follow Joe Burrow and root for him. He’s an outstanding young man. I’ve always loved Joe Burrow and what he’s doing and has done for his local community already speaks volumes about the charchter of this young man. Putting aside our pretty cool LSU/Ohio St rivalry, I personally want to say THANK YOU to LSU nation for showing what you are all about. Speaks volumes about you and it’s the reason why so many of us Ohio St fans call TD our favorite site. The power of sports is real...we must never forget that and appreciate the beautiful things it can do!!

With that being said, don't mistake kindness for weakness. We love Joe and are happy to help. When these playoffs start, though, just know this: "We comin'. And we ain't backing down."

The movement to donate to the Athens County Food Pantry is nothing short of amazing. Consider what Joe Burrow said Saturday night...

"Coming from southeast Ohio, it's a very impoverished area and the poverty rate is almost two times the national average. There's so many people there that don't have a lot and I'm up here for all those kids in Athens and Athens County that go home to not a lot of food on the table, hungry after school. You guys can be up here, too."

It isn't just Athens County. All of Southeast Ohio could benefit from a drive like this. Please consider SE Ohio Foodbank & Kitchen when donating as it serves Athens and many other surrounding counties. :)

It will make you happy to know that these are the remaining items on the list. When I went to the site earlier today, there were multiple other items. I assume they have been purchased and donated, and that is why there are so few items remaining.

That does make me feel better! Thank you

I’m currently connecting with the 5 PTOs in the area regarding fundraising for school supplies, shoes & coats.

#34-1313139 is the tax ID for the food bank. Let’s get those corporate employee donation matches flowing. If your company matches please submit.

The donation rate is up to over $10K per hour. It was in the 170s at lunchtime and is now almost 250k.

Drake Quibodeaux
Colton from Alabama
And now this for Athens

Tiger nation knows how to respond when called upon.

Merry Christmas!
