So this board has ZERO issues with local, loyal kids not having their commitment honored...... But lets say that someone like Ricks decommits or signs with another school and the explosion occurs. This is so hypocritical.
We are in a position to recruit like a national title contender right now, so we are doing just that. Do you want to sit back and just take who we got non-binding verbals from before a bunch of elite talent wanted in now or do you want the best players at LSU so we can continue to be competing for national championships?
Just for reference, we "honored" a lot of LA commitments in the 2018 class, how did that work out for us?
Kelvin Joseph - gone
Davin Cotton - gone
Kenan Jones - gone
Dantrieze Scott - gone

The people who freak out over this process are the ones who will never understand how big boy football is played in 2019. Don't worry about them.
They would rather take a lesser local prospect over possibly signing a moster, elite national prospect because it makes them feel good and they're scared of life in general.

They are also the first ones to celebrate who we are about to replace these guys with

What kind of bs letter is that? Really hope this guy ends up being a Tiger! Best of luck to him.

If they commit and don't put in the work to develop, hit an early plateau or make terrible grades, none of us should have a problem with that. It's a business, not a daycare. These guys will be treated like kings by teams looking to pick up the guys who didn't make the #1 class cut.

Ah. I was wondering.
DL is crazy though, having guys sit on the shelf for 2 or three years before contributing isn't uncommon. Farrell and Thomas (before he left) made the jump this year. There is still time for Jenkins.

I was told a couple of weeks ago to not be surprised to see Palmer and Lee on the defensive side of the ball in the spring. Coaches believe they will get more playing time there.

Someone we processed. I don't remember who.

It probably has a lot to do with the fact that Stingley and Ricks have the two starting corner spots locked down for the next two years for sure (3 for ricks), with Flott, Jones and Ward behind them. Greene was an unexpected loss, so I expect them to take at least one more safety in this class.
First of all, Ricks isnt the automatic starter when he gets on campus. Will he possibly be? Sure but he still has to beat out guys already in the system. And even if those are definitely your two starting corners, what do you do if one of them gets seriously hurt? You cant take that chance, hence why they bring in multiple db’s every year.

Except when we don’t.
2018 Kelvin Joseph was the ONLY DB signed.

Injuries occur - good depth is essential

Devonta Lee to SS next year.
he will move to Stevens spot when he leaves
He better if he wants to be a high draft pick.

Hopefully Burns comes to OU. He was a silent commit before until he got his LSU offer and I imagine things will open back up now that he's been processed.
