I am extremely leery of Senate Repubs if the trial moves forward

I could see a Caesar moment in the senate whereas the knives all of a sudden come out

You are correct to be leery.

A majority of the Senate wants to remove Trump. This is not debatable.

That majority, 47 Dems and 4 Republicans can shut down anything Trump wants to do.

This is why McConnell says there aren't enough votes to dismiss.

It's also why McConnel is going to have to work with Schumer on the rules.

The wet dream of Republicans running some scorched Earth trial is a wet dream unfulfilled.

You won't hear from any Bidens, or Adam Schiff but you will hear from Bolton. Anyone trust that scumbag?

Based on what's known I see little chance Trump is removed.

It's what is not known that worries me.

There was no live witness testimony in Clinton's impeachment trial. None. The Senate tabled the motion on live witnesses and eventually only allowed taped depositions to be submitted.

Prove it.
So in a matter of hours both Graham and McConnell simply declare "There are not enough votes".
Did they hold a secret vote that no one knows about?
