Ohio State (and the Fox/northern Media outlets) have been pushing different players over the last few weeks to try and make this a real race with Joe.

Joe didn't falter a single bit.

They have switched course and have scrapped this plan (and in my eyes stopped trying to win the Heisman) but instead they are trying to shift the narrative to get 3 players to New York (which would be extremely impressive). But by doing this they will be forced to share votes they desperately need to even have a fleeting chance at coming within miles of Joe.

But in the end these three players absolutely deserve to be in New York to watch Joe win.

Hurts can come to.

It'd be cool to have one or two of those guys there with Joe.

Not one person I've seen has ill will or animosity towards him. Quite the contrary.

It's all for recruiting (nothing wrong with, just what it is).

They will sell that there are 4 Buckeyes in NY if they get 3 guys there.

ETA: They bring 5 right?

Jonathan Taylor has more total rushing yards, more rushing YPG, and more rushing TDs than Dobbins.

Dobbins does not belong there. Neither does Young. Dobbins doesn't lead the Big 10 in any category and is barely top 10 in the country. Young missed 2 games and disappeared in their biggest game of the year.

It should be Joe, Fields and Hurts in that order with Joe winning in a landslide.

Jamaar Chase should be invited but no one wants to talk about that. He's having a crazy season along with basically the whole offense.

Ohio State is definitely not hurting right now.

I like the fact that they are worried about publicity while all you hear out of LSU is "we're focused on te next game".

Chase should be up there before those three OSU players. He made a much greater impact on his team than them.

Any first place vote placed for anyone other than Joe Burrow is biased.

Fields doesn't belong there. Not because he isn't good, but because he isn't Heisman finalist good. He's the QB on what some consider the best team, and that's all tht matters to some people.

He's not a guy who performs well under duress, from what I've seen, and he doesn't have great accuracy on downfield throws. Yeah, he'll hit on some bombs, but he's mostly just throwing intermediate passes, and hasn't faced great competition. In these upcoming playoffs, he's going to have to do some things he's not had to do all year, and I don't know that he can handle that. we've seen Joe handle everything.

And I'm fine with Dobbins being there, so long as Ja'Marr Chase is there, as well.

Urban should be proud. This speaks volumes of the good job CUM did there at Ohio State.

Joe is a tOSU alum. So they can sort of count him if they want.

Chase Young is really good but we can't accurately gauge just how good. He plays on a team that has FAR superior talent than any other team in their conference. Fields is ok but nothing special. Dobbins is good but once again, it's easy to look good against far inferior competition.

In the biggest rivalry game this year, what was Young's stats? How do you not record a single tackle and play an entire game.....being considered the most elite defensive player of the year and also be considered for the Heisman?

Ja'Marr Chase could easily be considered a candidate. He leads the nation in receiving TDs (17), is 2nd in yards (1st among P5) and leads the nation in ypc (20.8) of WRs with over 1000 yds.

I had to chuckle when i read in an OSU forum where one poster said there might be 3.5 buckeyes at the Heisman since Joe is an OSU grad and " Once a buckeye always a buckeye".
