Not quite the same. Yenni brought underwear and kissed a 17 y/o. Creepy, but 17 is the age of consent.
I was amazed they couldn't get the required signatures, because it was a well organized effort and plenty of people disapproved of his activities.

In most counties these days? Perhaps. In Livingston Parish?
There are still SO many old school people there who dont use the internet nor care about anything except "The Sheriff is King and Infallible". Its like little NK over there. You'd be lucky to get half of those signatures.

But Mike Yenni was successfully shamed out of running for reelection this year and will leave office in January.

It would behoove him to stop making appearances on camera. This case will garner (if it hasn't already) a ton of national attention. When you speak like he speaks, you aren't doing yourself any favors by trying to ad lib your way through something this serious. And to think he was the PIO of this department before he became Sheriff.

I think the interview with Nakimoto hasn't gone live yet, it was over a half hour long.
