10/13 IST - Hangover Edition

Mathews w/ rage and a couple fixed broadheads
Sitting ladder stand on edge of field, same one I sat last night where I Saw 5 deer and heard hogs.
Sunday blues, headed back to Houston later this morning. And will probably be dealing with a pissed off wife when I get since she’s been home with two kids.
Sat down on the ladder stand and immediately heard the pigs in the woods 10 yards behind me. They finally came out after 20 mins and I smoked one directly under my stand and then popped another who stuck around a tad too long. This is literally the first time we’ve ever seen hogs on our place. Had about 5 on camera.

First hunt out of tethrd saddle with helium hawk climbing sticks. Unbelievable how much I like it already.
Have a nice 10 pt visiting quite often around 915 am. Hope he shows up.
Don’t think I will ever go back to a lock on or climber.

Just had 3 long beards walk by and not spook so the blind is working ok enough. It feels incredible out here today.

How long did you sit? It didnt get uncomfortable? Is it weird shooting from it?

Sat until 10:45. I usually am a stander so being able to lean back is a game changer.
Shooting takes some time to get use to. Best bet is set up in the backyard and shoot every direction.
