It’s about honor.

When talking heads talk about credibility, they’re using it as a code word for honor.

And for the soldiers, they’re walking away from people they made a commitment to. Which is a stain on their honor. But this was always going to happen.

Obama and CENTCOM (because they’ve pushed hard for all of this) made impossible promises. We were always going to leave. And it was never going to be pretty.

Look at what Congress did in Vietnam. Look at what we’ve always done to our native allies.

As one commentator noted. We imprisoned the apache guides who helped us capture geronimo. That’s how we thanked them.

Leaving is the right thing. We should never have been there in the first place. In some ways we’re just paying the inevitable price for our foolishness.

Wait till we pull out of Afghanistan. It will fall like a house of cards and will revert to pre-9-11 status hopefully minus al-Qaeda
