Unfortunately all those quotes are about the old Tiger Stadium. Back before the gate nazi’s, fans stayed, the band played what they wanted, piped in music, a live Tiger, etc.

Can it return to that, probably not in these days, but it still gets loud and it’s a fun place to be. Saturday should be pretty loud and exciting.

Haven’t been to another game that has matched the ‘79 USC game...

I hate being one of those “back in my day” types but the last time I was at a game I was shocked at how quiet it was. This was the game against A&M in 2015. It was a weird time so maybe that wasn’t a great example.

Honestly, in the old days you couldn’t hear the person next to you. You’d be hoarse for a few days after each game. Hell I remember some professors being that way too. And when I was in the band, down on the field before pregame, you’re whole body would shake.

We need to defend our house on Saturday night. Everyone needs to bring the noise and play a huge role in this game.

It's going to take all 100,000 of us.

I'm not an old timer. I hadn't ever stepped foot in Death Valley until I was a freshmen in 2003. I have nothing to compare to before then. That said, I was blown away by the atmosphere in TS that year, and I think TS can still get that loud if we want to. If the team is good going in to the game and it's a night game against an SEC opponent, then nothing can compare to that atmosphere. The atmosphere this weekend is going to be crazy, despite what the "back in my days" crowd thinks. Wish I could be there.

My eyes were vibrating in the south endzone first two defensive series vs bama last year. First time I can remember that and been going to games since 98.

That "video" looked more like a slide show to me.

The Valley will shake on Saturday night though!

This was great, but it made me sad. They talked about how the students were the most spirited and relentless. This is not the case anymore. Sad because Death Valley is not what it used to be.

This may sound dumb but everytime (all near 100 times) ive come out from under that concourse and see Tiger Stadium I feel

Awe
Excitement
Pride

but the one people need to really hold onto is RESPONSIBILITY. Without the fans carrying the water its just a big building. It aint loud by itself.
