this is pretty sad, it's like saying you must stop and dine at Der Weinerschnitzel when in Baton Rouge

It is phenomenal.

Seconded, or thirded it appears. Both the beer and the pizza are pleasing to the senses.

Ya’ll I-10 snobs need to lay off of Ruston.

I don’t have a dog (no pun) in the fight but it’s a nice town.

It hasn’t fallen to shitholeness yet like most decent sized towns in La.

Tech has a lot of talent.

I lived there for a couple of years in my late 20’s and had a great time.

Across from Walmart?

It’s not just another Mexican place. It’s a fourth el jarrito

Supposedly they’re closing one down

My favorite hang out is the patio at sundown. If you eat there, get the turkey sandwich. It’s not a regular turkey sandwich

Agreed, Sundown is awesome. The MJ burger and fried green beans is so good. Great relaxed atmosphere, live music on the weekends, and the bartenders don't ever make weak drinks.

Railway Coffee downtown is worth the stop if you are into good coffee. Beans are sourced from micro farms in far away places, and roasted in Ruston.

Back in the 90's there were several cow pastures worth harvesting mushrooms from in the Ruston Area....

Friend of mine walked up and and rang the bell on this house saying he was in the mycology department and could he collect samples. The guy that owned the pasture had his 8 year old kid go help him pick a bunch of shrooms
