Eta: list the championships he has won.

Week 2 championships don't count.

The coaching this year will determine where things are heading. LSU has to play Bama to a good game for a change. Will take key in game coaching

Orgeron was not a fancy hire because he was a position coach. But if you look at what is expected of a Head Coach, Orgeron checks a lot of boxes. The difference between him in the past and the present is he has matured enough to check his ego at the door. Orgeron is not a great Offensive or defensive coordinator which is why he was a position coach. He has some talented coaches doing that for him and he is allowing them to do their thing.

Winning ten games with last years o line and no depth on D line already tells you that Orgeron is a top 2 or 3 coach.

I don't know how you can rank him above Malzahn at this point. He has two Sec West champs and a NC appearance. Auburn is certainly on a downward trend at the moment but still. It's probably:
Saban
Smart
Malzahn
O

No. He’s at best #5 behind Saban, Mullen, Jimbo and Smart. They’ve all accomplished something of value and meaning. O has not.

Technically we’ve malzahn could be rated higher seeing as he has accomplished more of value than O despite his team’s underperforming the last couple of seasons.

FIFY

Saban and Smart I think are definitely ahead, although I think O can pass Smart this year. I have Jimbo ahead of him for now based on FSU accomplishments and the game last year. We'll see what A&M does this year. I'd have Mullen and O tied for the 4th spot right now.

Malzahn has dropped off since the NC game appearance, and I think O is better currently.

SIAP but Coach O is following Dabo's game-plan. Great recruiter, loved by the team, and gets and retains quality OC/DC.

He hasn't accomplished what Saban and Smart have for their programs, but Mullen is - to this point - a more accomplished coach than Orgeron.

How many SEC championship games has he coached in?

He’s doing a good job, but let’s not crown his arse for beating a Texas team we were all laughing at a week ago.

He's a 2x NC winning coordinator, SEC coach of the year, and he's 2-0 against Orgeron as a head coach.

That's a really weird way of ranking.

Not really. Championships are objective criteria that show a coach is capable of reaching the apex of their conference/league.

This is not a body of work and resume questionor a popularity question.

Today with the current activity with two games and the status of the program today

Oh ok, so it's based off of the first two games of the season.

If he wins the SEC we can start this discussion. Until then it should be tabled.
