This guy works for a Texas website and had this to say, while breaking down position battles among the 2 teams
quote:
Defensive Backs
?
Texas and LSU both have stars at the safety position. For Texas, sophomore Caden Sterns is coming off freshman campaign where he was named to the All-Big 12 first team. In 2018, Sterns recorded 62 tackles, four interceptions, and four pass breakups.
For LSU, safety Grant Delpit is arguably the best safety in all of college football. Named a unanimous All-American in 2018, Delpit looks to continue his outstanding play in 2019. Last season as a sophomore, Delpit recorded 74 tackles, five interceptions, and nine pass breakups.
LSU may have won this one safety position, but Texas’ experience mixed with LSU’s very young cornerback situation gives the Longhorns a slight edge. LSU has five cornerbacks listed in their lineup, and all but one of them are freshman.
Advantage: Texas

Then he throws this out there.

Linebackers
?
Losing All-American linebacker Devin White after the 2018 season hurts, but the LSU Tigers are returning linebacker Jacob Phillips, who was held out all but one game in 2018. As a sophomore in 2017, Phillips had a breakout season, tallying 87 tackles. If he can stay healthy, he will be a dangerous weapon for LSU.
Texas group of linebackers are skilled and have potential, but are unproven. If the Longhorns linebacker group is going to start playing great football, it may take a few more games to get the ball rolling. But for now, the advantage goes to LSU.

Look at the unbelievable fact checking error on that

Kristian Fulton, Senior. Jacoby Stevens, I believe is a junior(correct me if I’m wrong). Grant Delpit, junior. Derek Stingley Jr is the only freshman starter. We’ve said that a million times.

Keep hearing it over and over. Hope they really believe it. Their plan is to attack the best freshman in college football. Ok.

Well, he evidently just glanced at the rosters, didn’t bother with rankings or stats and just pulled that out of his arse. And he got paid to do it.

Yep, and add very underrated Kary Vincent, Jr, starting at Nickel who will be on the field a lot vs their OFF.
I'll take da Tigers!
