Do you know anyone who was at Woodstock in 1969?

Just watched the latest documentary on Netflix about it and was amazed at all that went on besides the great music and how the producers were able to pull it off in spite of taking a huge financial hit.
Would be interested in hearing personal stories and experiences there.

Supposedly a friend’s parents were there, which makes sense given that they were from upstate NY.

I know a guy who went to an event prior to Woodstock that featured some of the same entertainers. I think he said it was in NJ. Him and his crew wanted to go on to Woodstock but couldn’t put together enough money to get there.

I would imagine the amount of nakedness and drugs that went on was incredible.

I’m from upstate New York so I have about 1000 relatives who claim they were there. So the answer is no I don’t.

I’m about halfway into it. My biggest takeaway from it is that the boomers were the biggest fricking losers (my generation close behind them) of all time and they act all high and mighty like they really changed shite.

My ex-MIL was there and was a bonafide hippie hitchhiking cross country. Then she got knocked up, had to get and job, and start paying taxes. When she died last year her political ideas made Rush Limbaugh look liberal.

My father was. He lost his shoes in the mud the first day and took the wrong acid. Was extremely pissed at my mother for throwing away his sleeping bag that he used
