was always amazed how he could get wrs without a quarterback lol
I’m going to start by saying the qb situation under miles was completely his fault, but if you look at the qb’s he had and the amount of winning he did it is pretty amazing. Shows how well he could recruit all other positions but the most important one.
Late in his time at LSU he started recruiting for rankings and not need like he did early at LSU. He loaded up on skill guys and lacked depth in the lines. This is great for recruiting rankings but not great for the team. It’s almost like when he started losing more he needed something to hang his hat in and that was it.

I mean, guys like Pocic, Trae Turner, La'el, etc...all pretty good/very good on the OL. But the DL went WAY downhill fast.
I feel like that's corrected, but the OL is now the issue. It's not horrible, but we really need to load up next cycle (need to this cycle, but I ain't seeing it)

I absolutely get what you're saying, but ALL of those cats were rated highly, top 100 or top 200 guys. Theoretically, high major QBs. Of course rankings can be wrong, but not that many times. Plenty of teams had QBs not ranked nearly as high as ours and got good production out of them. There is (or was) something systematically wrong with our development.
