I've invested in a couple XS Pulsator by Higdon and like them.

Has anyone seen any good motion teal decoys for sale?

The jerk string although I swear that I hate putting it out every morning but then when you get ducks practically land on it, then I tell myself it was worth it.

Tie string and weight to cripple leg.

Kidding.

What do you think old timers did for “live decoys”?

+1 for the Higdon Pulsator butt, have two of the pintails and wish I had a third.

IMO, Lucky Ducks spinners beat the brakes off of Mojo these days for durability, ease of pairing remotes and remote functionality/reliability.

So much so that Mojo later came out with their Pro Series or whatever the hell theyre calling it now and copied a large part of Lucky’s design.

I would rather have one Super Wonderduck than a dozen mojos. On a still day it gets the job done.

Honestly I think mojos flare ducks off more than bring them in.

I’m of the opinion that the ducks have seen so many by the time they’ve made it this far south that they recognize it and flare off. JMO

I prefer a jerk string or something simple like that. Most holes I hunt are in flooded timber in small sloughs, and 90% of the time I just scout it and see where the ducks want to be and don’t even need decoys. They’ll come in the next morning and I’ll be there waiting, like shooting fish in a barrel. Limit out by 730 am and go to work

I think all the motion decoys have there time and place. One thing I’ve found works best is to have a timer/remote on all mine. Having a delay and quick on/off burst looks like a duck on water. Better than constant flashing.

As someone said, the wonderduck swimmer is my favorite I’ve had. Will ripple a pond on a dead day.

Jerk string is all time best though. Simple and easy to pack in and out.
