Sao wants to execute all Republicans. TT9 wants to ban guns responsible for less than 2% of murders. I haven't read the whole thread but I'm sure there's a "close the gun show loophole" post somewhere in here.

It would do more than thoughts and prayers and more guns, which is the only answer conservatives have to every gun death. So much for pro-life. This country is flooded with guns, enough for every man, woman and child. If more guns made us safer then we should already be the safest country on the planet and these things wouldn't be a regular occurrence.
We had an assault weapons ban and Republicans killed it by letting it expire and refusing to reauthorize it. The majority of law enforcement supported the ban at the time.
Nothing is going to be done about this because one side is bought and paid for. We will continue to be a joke around the world who values gun makers profits over human life.
Okay. I’ll play.
If the US banned student loans tomorrow in response to the rising personal debt crisis, would that mean everyone moving forward would be in less debt?
I’ll save you the trouble. No.
You have to address the behavior. Not the symptom.

The tens of millions of Americans who disagtee with you just do so so gun makers can score profits, right?
You realize when you misrepresent the basic motives and positions of those who disagree with you you heighten the divide amongst people and further stimy dialogue, right?
Also, the assault weapons ban didn't ban assault weapons. It prevented the manufacture of new ones (I'll even spare us the argument over semantics). If you think these shootings happen only because AR and AK style weapons exist, you aren't thinking very critically or you aren't knowledgeable of other existing firearms platforms. Reaching actual truthful observations would work better if you didn't write off the other side of the argument and their vast array of knowledge and insight on the subject. But I'm not sure anything trumps the motivation of using these issues as a political football for some people.

Social media is more dangerous than any gun.

I didn’t realize that pistols (which kill the majority of people in gun homicides) were banned under the assault weapons ban. Interdasting.

The problem isn’t that people in our country can own guns. The problem is that there aren’t enough restrictions in place to keep the wrong people from owning and having access to guns.

Go chart the FBI's publicly available data on both NICS background checks for firearms sales and homicides involving firearms. The uneducated parroting talking points from MSM sources is tiring.

Because it was a worthless law. Go do some research child, go look up what this law accomplished other than popularizing semi-automatic rifles. Then remember that Columbine happened during this so-called assault weapons ban.

So the lives saved by citizens using their own firearms doesn't factor into your screeching it seems. Laughable you are.

What is the correct amount of restrictions?

Yeah, you just come up with some ideas that are actually enforceable and effective while keeping in mind that the 2nd Amendment is about an individual civil right. Good luck...

Not sure what the exact statistics are but every time I turn around am reading about a gun crime, these people are doing the damage with guns obtained illegally. It’s not like they are just giving everyone with a pulse a gun.
Not sure what specifically you want done on the gun restrictions.
