I am all for helping the poor, but this wasn't the point behind EBT cards.

Yeah I don't know how Amazon is getting around state laws here. Unless it's only specific states that allow it.

I don't even like the general concept of businesses subsidising the poors, whether it be this, cell phones, cable, internet.

I know it's within their rights, but it just makes it all the less motivating for people to work towards career advancement.

Because of this reason I think it actually hurts the poors over the long term more than it helps in the short term.

lol Amazon takes EBT? I guess I could see why they promote something like this. Miles well since Amazon is just stomping on the neck of anyone they can.

I believe you are misinterpreting the promotion. It’s not that you can use an EBT card on Amazon prime. I think it’s just a discount on the Amazon Prime membership for people who have an EBT card. They still have to pay for products like the rest of us. Cell phone and internet companies have similar deals where you get discounted basic services if you have an EBT card.

Just another way for the trash to scam the system. And the cyclical cycle of generational scamming will continue.

Call me a "flaming liberal" but I don't think this is a bad deal for those with EBT cards. A lot of these folks reside in areas referred to as food deserts since there are very few decent grocery stores within a reasonable walking distance. They are forced to use the "corner" store for their groceries where they end up having to buy overpriced food items.

It’s sad you can’t buy pet food with ebt

My cousin has to feed his pits raw meat and you know that can’t be healthy over the long term

Thank you so much for posting this!

Just took advantage of the half off.

We have medicaid and medicare for my sister and the state does not pay for her diapers. We often order them online, because they have the kind we need.

It's not about getting a leg up anymore, since people have no self pride or shame about being beggars, it's all about society propping them up indefinitely because they just don't give a frick.

We babysit grown arse people and have for at least half a century, all while giving incentives for them to breed. It's mind boggling.
