I think Mannix’s interview jibes with the report that the Lakers think we are using them to up the Celtics offer. I would expect we might hear something today about the Pelicans clearing hurdles/moving further towards a Lakers deal.

We don't know what was "promised" especially if Kyrie didnt' return.
