Your points are valid, but the Nepal government does not give a single frick so nothing will change.
Saw a documentary a couple of years ago and they interviewed a Gurkha, who said if that an individual didn't have at least five climbs on mts at least 20000 ft or higher, survival chances in the death zone decreased to around 30%.
Most problems occur due to WX and insufficient supply, notably O2. There are no regulations, pay the money, and take your chances. The Govt, nor the Sherpas, don't care if you live or die. It's all about the cash.

Let's be honest here... Its really a hike, not a climb.

They make a point to pretty much say if you're inexperienced or inconsiderate to other the other climbers, ecosystem, etc. then stay the hell off the mountain.
Yeah, good luck with that. These climbs trash the entire mountain. They don't carry any trash back down for the most part.

Those ‘experienced’ guys are just pissed because it’s making their great feat not so great. Basically anyone can hire a guide, train a bit, and do the same thing they’re bragging about as an elitist.

That pic of the climbers in line looks like the lines at Disney....

I just never got the thrill of climbing. Give me the ocean and scuba diving any day

I don't blame the government of Nepal or the outfitters for chasing the cash.
The only mistake I think they've made is in the removal of trash. It is bad.

Those experienced guys summit without suppemental oxygen (whcih just anyone certainly cannot do) and attempt different routes and do those routes with minimal or no support from sherpas.
What you should be complaining about is the companies that shepherd people up the mountain. But, as usual, you missed the mark in your post.

Some are.
Others are just obsessed and goal driven. I know a couple guys who have done it, they're the type that has to cross things off a list.
If you really want to test yourself, there are more difficult tests out there.

There are two types of people who climb Everest.
Legit climbers for whom this is a huge goal they take personal pride and interest in. Look at a guy like Alex Honnold, outdoors sports have some people who are willing to risk death to achieve.
People with money who want an accomplishment. These people will pay for sherpas, oxygen, basically to be carried to the summit, just so they can claim they climbed it.
The first type, I have no issue with. The second type are the people currently killing the experience.

I heard Dr. Beck Weathers give a motivational speech several years ago. He had been left for dead in the 1996 Mt. Everest disaster. (See Jon Krakauer's book, Into Thin Air).
Dr. Weathers said it had been an ego trip to climb the highest peak on each continent, but upon reflection he realized it was a very selfish thing to do to his family.

ive been fascinated with Everest for the past year after watching the movie Everest; then i read Krakauer's book ( i have no interest or intention to climb anything however, i'm just a nerd). I plan on reading Beck Weathers book next.
it seems that it truly reveals human nature and character in those who climb it, which is the major lesson that Weathers says he learned in the 96 disaster. it is unfathomable to me that people would walk past people who were dying to continue climbing a mountain, but after watching and reading so much about climbing Everest, i can see how that mentality exists. i dont condone it but i understand it.

This doesn’t even look like something to brag about. You stood in a line with hundreds of others, like a goddamn Disney ride.
It’s not like this
This is mountain climbing. I’d think that there are plenty of mountains in the world where you could do it with a small group and actually feel a sense of individual accomplishment.

The Sherpas and government of Nepal cant go and get jobs at $15/hr down at the local Walmart. They desperately need those companies.
