Pretty sure I read something one time that one would have to smoke about 200 pounds of marijuana to overdose on THC.

More like 1500 lbs in an hour.

The cellular structure of all vertebrate species tested thus far show that there are literal receptor sites for cannabinoids. The research since the 1960's also proves that once these receptor sites are full, cannabinoids are then stored in fat cells. Once the fat cells are full any further induction of cannabinoids results in excretion through the usual methods: urine, feces, sweat, etc..

Think of it as a cell being a tray of shot glasses. Each glass represents a receptor. Once the glasses are full any added spills onto the tray, then off the tray and is wasted.

There are European in vitro studies where brain tissue has been literally immersed in THC and not only survived but thrived.

Yep, you would die actually from eventual lung weakening and not the thc. Inhale hundreds of pounds of any smoke and you won't fare well.

On the DEA site, every direct death by pot was always a fireman who died putting out a grow fire. Or a stoner who hit someone driving a car.
