Most World Cup Wins:
Australia: 5, India: 2, West Indies: 2, Pakistan: 1, Sri Lanka: 1
- England and India start the tournament as firm favorites, with England having a slight edge due to a deep batting line-up (most of their bowlers (pitchers) can bat quite well too).
- India has been ranked No.1 for the past few years and have a well balanced and probably the strongest team on paper.
- Australia has had a rough couple of years recently, but have been peaking at the right time having won their last two bilateral series against India and Pakistan. They are always dangerous in big tournaments and have also won the most World Cups, so they will likely go deep in the World Cup.
- Prediction: Finals: England vs India; England wins its first Cricket World Cup.

England is going to choke it away. West Indies will be a dark horse. Hopefully Bumrah, Kohli and Dhoni does what they do and win it for India

England invented cricket and has never won? Yeah seems about right

I’m actually surprised India has only won it twice
That’s bad IMO

Is Australia going to cheat? I hear they have a new player named Smeven Stith.

I'll go with England winning and taking 10 games matching their last 3 WC's.
India, Australia and South Africa to the knockouts.
Most runs- Warner, Bairstow and then Kohli.
Most wickets-Bumrah,Cummins, Rabada
AFG and SL bring up the rear with 1 win a piece.
We'll see if Warner or Smith get the brunt of the crowds. They have a warm up match Saturday.

Afg chased 262 against Pakistan. South africa dominated a weak Sri Lankan team in the warm up games.
They continue through the weekend, with Eng vs Aus.

England cruised pass Afghanistan today and Australia beat a weak Sri Lanka team in warm up matches. I really think England is gonna win this thing.

I wanted to see SA vs WI but it was abandoned.
Espn had 5 picks for ENG, 3 for AUS, 2 for IND, and 1 for WI.
Jos Buttler got the most picks for (5).
And most hyped game was easily IND-ENG June 30 Edgbaston.

The 2019 Cricket World Cup is officially underway with hosts England taking on South Africa in the first match just a few hours from now: 1st match, at London, May 30 2019 - England vs South Africa
England will be favored to win this match. The fact that South Africa will be missing arguably their best batsman ever in AB de Villiers, who recently retired from international cricket, and one of their best fast bowlers ever - Dale Steyn - who is injured and out for this first match, will not help them.
