Wow...India escapes with a win against Afghanistan! It was definitely a trap game for them. Australia, India and New Zealand are now favorites to make it to the semifinals. England will most probably take the last spot, their shock defeat against Sri Lanka yesterday not withstanding.

India escaped by the skin of their teeth. England weren’t so lucky. Top 4 still feel secure but could be a topsy turvy 2 weeks.

Im thinking that Windies game gained some cricket fans. I was thinking this past week would be a snoozer but the tourney has come to life.

Don't know man. They needed just 8 runs from 12 balls after that crazy 25 run Matt Henry over. I just wished Braithwaite recognized the complete flip in the script, took his time and waited for the right balls to hit. They almost came back from the dead to beat the Kiwis only to fall so short in the end.

It’s just how the West Indians play now. Guns blazing all the time. Maybe their 20/20 success is a reason for it. I don’t know.

With NZ losing to Pakistan today, India is the only undefeated team in the World Cup. Goes to show how important their win against Afghanistan was. Without that win, India would have been on 7 points too and fighting with England and Pakistan for the 4th semifinal spot.

Great win by India today against the West Indies and they remain the only unbeaten team in the tournament. They only need to win one of their remaining 3 matches to make it to the final 4.

It was weird seeing India gave up on that run chase in the last 5 overs. Maybe they decided the target was beyond reach and just wanted to minimize the damage to the NRR? It was indeed a head scratcher. With that win against India, England are firmly back in the hunt for a semifinal spot.
