dunno. But, that Zappe's tater chips guy seems to think he can draw lines around what F.Queen does and doesn't influence. Athletics, Admissions, Greeks, fundraising, PR.... GUESS WHAT? It all falls under his umbrella. And all of it is important.
And if you don't think athletic excellence has an impact you are not paying attention, or just purposely trying to die on a hill with F.Queen. Go for it.

Per my other post in the other thread, could be a temporary move until the final move. IMHO this is NOT going down this week. But it is going to happen and the end is near. The optics look better in the long run if he moves to University owned housing and not stay in his house when it is being marketed or moving off campus. Move closer in before the jump.

I hear it all the time. LSU is now on the radar for a lot of kids in DFW because schools in Texas are so tough to get in to. I have had convo's with parents who know I am an LSU alum and just about all of them have concerns about the low academic standards at LSU. In addition to that, many of my friends are Aggies and Horns and while we may beat them on the field, they never let me forget how much better academically their schools are.....and I really can't argue with them. My only defense is my LSU degree is from a department that is ranked #1 in the country.

Well you need to tell your A&M buddies to check out their acceptance rate. It is 67%. LSU is at 76%.
While UT may have a point as their acceptance rate is 40%. Your A&M pals are full of crap.
Other schools in the Big 12 that the Texicans are in the same conference with have comparable acceptance rates to LSU. OU has an acceptance rate of 71%. Oklahoma State has an acceptance rate of 78%. Texas Tech has an acceptance rate of 63%.
Your Texas buddies are bs-ing you as far as ease of getting in being the reason kids are looking at LSU. Now I would imagine that your Texas friends are using convoluted Texas logic and including Private Texas Schools in their discussion. Rice, TCU, SMU, and Baylor are Private Universities which tend to be more selective but you can't compare Public Universities with Private as their missions are completely different.
