I say yes. He showed some serious emotional range and basically had to pull a Tom Hanks in Castaway and interact with a dog and mannequins.

I honesty thought after this movie he’d be an Oscar contender for a long time. Not sure why he fell off.

I thought he was great in 7 pounds. I remember tearing up.

I thought he was really good. I don’t blame him for the disappointing ending.

I liked him a lot in Pursuit of Happyness.

Looking at his IMDb it’s hard to believe his only recent successes have been MiB3 and Bright.

I don’t think it’s debatable that Hitch was his greatest acting performance of all time, if not THE greatest acting performance of all time.

I always say this, but the best part of the movie is when he uses the Almanac for sunrise and sunset timings for each day.

Honestly, I am Legend along with Pursuit of Happiness and Ali are my three favorite Will Smith films without a doubt.

I think what I just realized is that besides Fresh Prince, I may simply not be a fan of his comedic work. When he does serious movies, he tends to do pretty well.

No

It was Pound of Flesh.

Or maybe the one where he became a stock broker.

No.

That would be the first Men in Black.

Pursuit of Happyness is damn near life changing. I'm not hating on his acting in I Am Legend, but I don't think it's close.
