City planning and building codes were different 900 years ago.

They were probably po'd that they had to work overtime and more than 30 hrs. a week. They were formulating their grievances through the union.

There is zero chance that this was an accidental electrical fire, especially occurring on a workday / weekday with staff present.

The only explanation is that this was terrorism / planned vandalism that fireballed an entire section so quickly that traditional firefighting methods were rendered useless.

The worst part will be when the MSM parrots the "accident" talking points and says that we are crazy conspiracy theorists.

They saved all the artwork and relics, saved the structural integrity of the main structure, and both bell towers. Enough was saved where it can be rebuilt using the original main structure.

I’d say they did ok

Maybe they carry white flags like the army. Those are flammable.

FTFY, and, yes, I'm much less than impressed (full disclosure - I'm about 35, 40 percent French ancestry, but all of that was pre-Napoleon. )

It was reported that most firefighters were busy trying to remove the valuable artwork and relics from inside before it was too late.

The St. Amant volunteer fire department would have had that fire out faster
