Possibly. That would make more sense. Would have been better to have said "causes" or causes. It's early and really subtle humor can be missed. Sad thing is there are plenty of people who actually believe this could somehow be attributed to the police doing their job so the title is not that far fetched in today's climate.

The two "innocent children" were the two criminals in the stolen car running from the po-po.
It's harsh, but they got just recompense for their crime. They did it to themselves.
The tragedy is the innocent salon customer who died at the hands of the two "innocent children" criminals.
This could have been avoided had you read a touch more carefully...

Only two people died (both juveniles who stole the car) and the vocal small minority of nitwits is all over WBOK right now claiming exactly what my headline says.
I posted the headline for one reason--the vocal minority was destined to use this faux outrage today to push their narrative that the NOPD is out of control again to score political points WHICH IS the JOKE.
If you read the language I bolded in the OP you would see I made a point out the NOPD disengaged and were not responsible for these two idiots premature deaths.
The vocal minority will, in all liklihood, have one of their own lawyers representing one of these of three people who were injured in the building pushing the NOPD caused the wreck narrative too to score some quick cash from the NOPD.
It is a playbook that is written in ink which is sadly a fricking Joke of a playbook.
