It's not what they know, it's what they can prove. A good lawyer can twist up what Wade said, and suggest he was merely talking about playing more minutes than a usual 1st year freshman, or receiving extra warm up sweats, etc...
As funny as that sounds, it happens every day in court.

...I left out the “in court” part only becuz I’d like to hear what the bammers must tell people about all the star football recruits driving brand new Dodge Chargers every year...man, I’d love to hear there explanations...

The NCAA doesn't operate like the courts, and there are no Rules of Evidence, and there is no standard of proof. If it weren't for the FBI, the NCAA would be toothless in this entire thing, with no evidence at all, but they're going to feel compelled to come down as hard as they can. The media pressure will be too great to do otherwise.

I can't see why everyone is furious with Alleva, but no one seems upset with Will Wade. He's the one who created this mess.
