Authentic would be Cajun. Crawfish are in season, so you should eat them at least three different ways. Boiled crawfish at the Boiling Point or Dwight’s. Crawfish Bisque at Don’s Downtown (one of my favorites). Crawfish dinner st Riverside.

Other notable Cajun restaurants: Blue Dog, Prejean’s (get the crab cakes), Don’s Hut

Nash’s in Broussard is very good, but I would’t call it Cajun food.

You should go to Scott for lunch one day and get boudin from Billy’s or Don’s. Boudin is very Cajun.

Chicken and sausage gumbo is Cajun and is on a lot of lunch menus. You should work that in somewhere.
