except the pit bull type of dog is responsible for the vast majority of people getting mauled

I think they should pass a law that makes the owner criminally responsible for the pet. Any kind of pet. A dog kills someone walking their dog down the street, the owner is charged as if he killed the person. Let people start doing 10-15 years for manslaughter and maybe less vicious attacks will occur.

Good luck with facts and logic.

Pit owners love their dogs, and you might as well be talking about their own children. On the other side... for those of us with small children, few things are scarier than the thought of a pit attacking your child.

Look I get it.

But I have anxiety and depression and trauma and a case of hemorrhoids that Preparation H won't touch.

So I need fluffy, my pit bull rescue from a dog fighting ring, with me at all times. He keeps me in my safe space.

I am sorry that he bit a portion of your child's face off but that's what plastic surgery was invented for. I am what matters here.

Keep your child's face out of Fluffys mouth reach of you don't want them disfigured for life. I need safety as a grown man.

How do you know that the dog is really a pitbull and not a different breed that resembles a pitbull Can you ID the pitbull?

It's the one with the trashy, tatted up owner.

Bam.

This is the solution. Not difficult to enforce.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, black males account for 37% of the total male prison population, while blacks only make up 12% of the U.S. population. So, in your opinion, does this mean that we should eradicate black males?

So, roughly 6% of the black male population is responsible for 37% of male inmates? Yea, that's a problem.

I cringe when I see people on Facebook that have a pit and a small child.

Wait a minute, people bring themselves to the ER for a house cat bite? Holy shite.

I can only imagine the clientele.

A friend of mine got bit by his outside cat. 3 days later he noticed these streaks going up his arm from the wound. Went to lake after, they told him to get to ER immediately. Dude was in the hospital 3 days. The doctor told him he was currently 1 of 3 people in the hospital for the same thing.

But let’s be honest, people know what a Pit looks like and they’re pretty hard to mistake

Factually incorrect, as are supposed eyewitness accounts claiming the dog was "X" breed.

Yeah. Looks like canine fetal alcohol syndrome. I feel a little bit sorry for them.

It must be hard to be the ugliest, meanest, least trustworthy breed of dog.

I am not saying it may not require some form of care, but an ER visit is not necessary for that.

There are a lot of things people get admitted for that escalated from an simple problem, there are many other forms of medical care to get...urgent care, walk ins, primary care docs.

Clean it, irrigate it, antibiotic ointment, cover and watch...or do all of the above and then go see the walk in doc if you are concerned. No need to waste time at the ER.
