The song is obviously written as satire with Newman writing from a song character's perspective.
He didn't get in trouble for the same reason DiCaprio didn't get in trouble for the things he said in Django Unchained. It isn't really hard to figure out social satire and fake characters from real life.

I realize that it is satire and love the album but blatantly saying the n word in a song would cause Lena Dunham to have a heart attach
