Trying to hype up "Texas is back" by having them at 7.

LSU at 12 is funny.

quote:

12. LSU

Tigers 2018 record: 10-3, 5-3

SEC First 2019 Way-Too-Early rank: 10

Returning starters: eight offense, seven defense, one special teams

Key losses: CB Greedy Williams, LB Devin White, DT Ed Alexander, CB Terrence Alexander, G Garrett Brumfield, TE Foster Moreau, RB Nick Brossette, K Cole Tracy

Outlook: The Tigers took a few steps forward in coach Ed Orgeron's second full season, winning 10 games and beating UCF 40-32 in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. The big question heading into the spring, besides replacing two of their best players on defense, is whether quarterback Joe Burrow can continue to develop. He should improve with a full offseason under his belt. Orgeron hired New Orleans Saints assistant Joe Brady to coach receivers and serve as passing game coordinator. The Tigers will have to replace Brossette, who ran for 1,039 yards with 14 touchdowns last season. Incoming freshman John Emery, the No. 1 running back in the ESPN 300, might get the first crack at replacing him. LSU will also undoubtedly miss White and Williams, but early enrollee Derek Stingley Jr., the No. 1 cornerback in the ESPN 300, might be LSU's next great defensive back. The Tigers play a nonconference game at Texas on Sept. 7 and also play at Alabama on Nov. 9. -- M.S.

Good. That’s a Quadrant 1 road win for us

More starters returning than most everyone they are ranking ahead of us, yet they are projecting us to FINISH WORSE than we did this year. Nice.

The Georgia hype is almost as bad as Texas.

Had to edit, cause I was initially quoting you and you gave them too much credit on the LSU ranking.

You know you’re gonna be stacked when a “Key Loss” is Terrace Alexander.

This also shows us ESPN remains retarded.

BS to have Texas ranked ahead of us but whatever doesn’t matter that early in the season. Hopefully they’re dumb enough to put UT in top 5, a better win for us.

There is no reason we are outside the top 10. Doesnt matter though.
We going in raw and dry next year.
Joe Breazy gonna break the lsu single season passing and qb rushing record.

Why is LSU at 12 funny? Everyone on their schedule is improving except for one team in MSU. They will play a legit OOC opponent on the road unlike the 6-6 UM team they played this year.

Number. 12 is about right.

shite is too funny to me.

We get UF and TAMU at home
One of the rare teams in the top 10 that bring back 4 or more OL
Bring in 2 top 10 RBs (one rated #2 in the country)
Our 2018 starting QB and all WR targets
Every starter in the front 7 except Alexander and White (we even get Chaisson back)
Bring in the most physically gifted CB prospect since Patrick Peterson, and an insane ball hawk and return man.

I can understand UF ahead of us, but Oregon, TAMU, and Texas is bullshite. I'd say Notre Dame being ahead of us is BS too, but you know the deal.

Irrelevant. Ranking Texas as high as the did considering the lack of returning starters tells you all you need to know.

This is supposed to take into account returning players, schedule, recruiting class, key personnel losses, etc.. Initially, we were #10. We drop to #12 after signing top 5 class (and nothing else changed). Makes no sense but really doesn’t matter.

And, it’s “too” early
