That's the first operator to come out with a public horizontal IP rate, and I can tell you that some of CHK's are better than that.

From what I know there are pipeline issues at work that are going to cause the well to be choked back a good bit.

is there anyway oil could be under the haynesville? when i was originally told about the haynesville, i was told about the "river of oil" and large gas field. is this possible?

It's a great sign that the CEO of Chesapeake has been buying back hundreds of millions of dollars in CHK stock. He's gotta be privvy to a lot more detailed information about the potential of the Haynesville than the general public. Looking good for the Ark-La-Tex folks!

I am riding Aubrey's coattails on this one.... gotta be the play... up 4.5% today (Petrohawk got the big bump).
CHK is so undervalued, it is ridiculous

It'll probably be at least $100/share this time next year with the Haynesville wells coming online and NG probably trading at $15/Mcf or higher.

I've held QBIK since January, HK since February, and I've held CHK for a while longer than that. To say I'm up a little bit on these stocks is an understatement. I've known about the Haynesville for quite some time though. This is probably only the beginning of the stock price valuations. Oh, and about the "river of oil" a poster alluded to: The Haynesville is dry gas and will produce zero oil. There is very little chance of any deeper zones under the Haynesville being oil productive, as the productive Smackover areas are farther north than the Haynesville shale which seems to stop around Townships 19N to 20N.

how do i go about buying stock in some of these companies? are the website places such as ameritrade and td waterhouse good places? when these wells start producing, the stocks on these companies will go through the roof. i travel and do not really have the time to go to sit down with someone now so any information would be appreciated.

Does anyone know who is doing the engineering work for the pumps and stations, or who is doing the construction?

Heard a big landowner just sold or is selling their mineral rights in Northern desoto & southern caddo for $80 million (I believe they have over 2000 acres but do not know an exact amount). Certainly sounds far fetched but I know they have a ton of acreage.
Any idea what kind of price folks are getting to sell rather than lease their minerals? Kind of scratched my head why you would sell at this point but maybe it makes since to get out while there is still a frenzy.

Not really that far fetched. Many people are choosing to sell their minerals now for up front cash versus taking royalty payments for years and years. We have bought quite a bit of minerals over the last two years in the play. Royalty prices right now are not in line with lease prices. It will take quite a while for the royalty prices to catch up. This will have to wait until actual production figures start being released (not doctored reports on SONRIS). Now is probably a good time to be buying minerals since prices haven't gotten in line yet.

Could that possibly the Frierson's who got that money? I have heard that the land where Ellerbe road hits norris ferry might be looking at 15000 per acre plus 25% royalties

I can't see the friersons selling their land.
