Truth is, we stayed the same. LSU has had NFL talent for a long time. What we haven’t had since 2012 is an elite defensive line as a whole. We signed some good players there. We still lack athleticism at offensive tackle. We still are behind the big 2 in Bama and UGA. We got our typical 4 star athletic QB recruit - time will tell if he’s any different.

This looks like your standard LSU class over the last 10 years - which is not a bad thing.

We are better at DB...Stingley.
We are better at in the punt return game...Stingley.
We are better at RB...both Emery and Davis.
WR's to be determined. Did not go backward.
Kicking game to be determined but it's difficult to go forward when replacing Cole Tracy. IMO Cade York will do the job and do it well.
Interior OL...did not go backward.
If Ray Parker moves to OT (where he should be) we will move forward bigly.
LB's it's difficult to not go backward when the number one LB is leaving your squad but we won't go backward that much. The LB haul is excellent.
People think we have gone backward on the DL but I believe we will be pleasantly surprised with Evans and Ika and the two DE's, Fonua and Little. One more 4 or 5 star here on the DL and everyone would have a totally different opinion of the 2019 DL haul.
