If you like the guy and you can afford it give it to him but think of it as if you just set it on fire. If he pays you back great but don’t expect it or hassle him.

Through the years, I've found that it best to "give" what I can afford and not expect to be paid back (No heartache or ill feelings).

However, I did loan my nephew money to start his business, which was paid back. He has not forgotten.
