Would be awesome to get Young. The video of his 4 snaps from yesterday were awesome. Burst and seemed strong as an ox. Sounds like the other school is in on 3 more big DL.

Man, that link is positive for Bama on both Ish and possibly the #1 OT Darnell Wright. I can't believe the way Bama can stockpile line prospects. Ish is under the impression that he'll start earlier at Bama, and Wright apparently hasn't noticed the OT class Bama already has signed.

It's ridiculous. We can call Saban a sneaky, lying recruiter forever, but it seems everyone else outside Tiger Nation still hasn't caught onto any of that.

Article said Rodney may not even sign this year, which is definitely something to watch.

Has Ole Miss offered Ish and Rodney?

If we can flip Young, Christian Williams, George Pickens and Moore as the Sopshers go to Ole Miss I would be ecstatic.

Absolutely. Recruiting is all about perception of what a program is doing and where its going. If we can flip 2 big Bama commits and get Pickens that fills needs and pick up 2 major prospects from the state of Alabama. That could almost have more positive perception in recruiting going forward than just signing Sopsher at this point.

We don't ever want to miss on a 5 star player from LA, but we signed 3 of the 4 from this class already so from the outside things look great right now anyway.

The article is from al.com.......Would it ever be anything but positive for Bama???? I am sure that if Bama lost oout on every recruit in the top 50, al.com would spin it as positive for Bama.

While I believe in what you're saying, would any of us be surprised if Bama got Sopsher and Wright while holding onto Young?

I wouldn't be surprised at all...it might even be probable.

He's not even qualified to play. Hasn't he quit both JUCOs?

Are there any good videos of his play? The few that I saw were not.

I hope we get Young and maybe another to sign in Feb. I would rather let these cats go elsewhere. Smells funky.

Then they have resorted to straight up lying to the kid. That’s absurd.

Lol ish is so gone. I wouldn't spend another minute wasting time on him. Clearly Saban will tell Ish that he will take his brother next class (definitely won't). Plus this comment is all you need to see.

quote:

What's LSU's pitch? "Just to come in, win a national championship and bring the state of Louisiana back together," he said, "and just add on to the great players they've already had there."
What's Alabama's pitch?: "Come in, start early and just be dominant and get developed. That's what I'm really looking for in a school is (to) get developed."

I agree - I'll take Young and a empty spot for a transfer or EE next year over the two Sopshers. I think Young will wind up the better player, and the empty spot has the potential to contribute a hell of a lot more than Rodney ever will.

So LSU is basically only in it because of his brother. Wow. If they can flip any other top Dl ineman like Young then send this guy packing. So he is lazy now but once bama gets ahold of him he will become developed. Sad when LSU is put in this situation. So LSU is now waiting for bama to cut one loose just to get some remaining top DLineman. Well maybe that will help next year with getting top Dlineman with bama signing so many this year.

That tells me Saban is telling him there's no room for Rodney this year but they'll take him next year. Which of course we all know he won't.

I think they resorted to this some time ago...lying, cheating in several ways, not punishing players for guns and drugs, rigging the officiating...nothing new for the dirtiest program ever.

Exactly, with comments like that, I'm getting as far from this guy as I can and look to put my energy into others. He asks why later you tell him that the numbers just didn't work out for him this year being so late in the game.

Then I'd tell him that Bama has an open spot for him. Way to burn your brothers only bridge. Maybe he's right though, maybe LSU does need to spend more time with ther OL and DL in terms of getting them ready not with technique but in the offseason in terms of motivating them to get to the gym and field somewhere pulling sleds around for a couple of hours. Give them contacts to people with great work out routines and make sure they doing it. These kids need people to motivate them sometimes. LSU might need to start helping them in that way.

yep...

OR:
- There's been direct talk with Ish about a grey shirt for Rodney, which may or may not pan out (guess which one they are telling him). All that matters is getting the LOI and Ish sees that NFL future, Rodney won't matter so much by this time next year.

OR (and this is what I've been thinking since Nov):
- He doesn't sign, gets no-show job to pay for school. No harm no foul if he isn't a student-athlete. Opens up all kinds of things ($ wise).
