U-Turn Audio
USA made turntables that can be customized. I’d like to stay on the low end of things. Any opinions? I’ve read nothing but good things about them.

Good starter table. I would do the Ortofon 2M Red cart as an option. I really don’t think there will be much of a difference in changing to an acrylic platter for $70 at this level of a table. This puts you at $254.

Thanks, man. I was also thinking the cartridge was the only needed upgrade, just didn’t know which one. Much appreciated.

Goddammit High C. Now there’s another website for me to spend money.

Any recs for something $150 and below? I have a small collection that I lucked into. Not too worried about going all out right now on sound, just want to be able to play them.

Don’t want to speak for Marco, but he’s told me in the past that a table that cheap basically is not even worth buying.

If you just want to play them and don’t care how it sounds, then order anything that fits your budget.
However, if you want to at least hear the virtues of what playing an analog piece of plastic can deliver, then the U-turn orbit or Pro-Ject Debut is the entry level. Cheaper tables than this will introduce more issues than it’s worth.

I've had a U-Turn table for awhile now and love it. Simple to use and great aesthetic.

I was actually going to post in the audiophile thread if anyone has any reviews on the U turn lol
Im debating between it and the Planar 1 later this month

If you’re looking for bookshelf speakers to go with the table those Audioengine speakers sold on the site are legit. You only need a phono preamp with them as they’re powered speakers.
