Stop trying to look at everything in a vacuum. This is dumb.

Let me know when O coaches the team people felt like was left out of the playoffs the year after losing the title in heartbreaking fashion.

We haven't sniffed the play-offs since they started, let alone been a team people felt deserved it but got left out.

Hopefully Next Year U can finally make it next year.

Smart has given Saban all he could handle twice, and he's already won the conference.

Orgeron has yet to win the division or even make it a game with Alabama.

Never go full retard.

Georgia looks terrible today. They're dropping balls, fumbling, punting terribly, blocking poorly, and most importantly, Fromm has been terribly inaccurate. The defense is playing okay, but they're letting the worst running team run all over them. It is amazing that this team played Alabama closely. Now, if Fromm can start hitting open receivers, then they can still turn it around, but they're not showing signs of turning it around. They have much more talent than Texas, so this looks bad for Smart.

If O finishes ahead of Smart this year it proves nothing about if UGA is the next dynasty or not. I mean they were in the NC last year. They're in the top 10 this year. Would need to see how the next couple years go to make any determination of their long term trajectory with Smart.

The real SEC championship game occurs in the western division nearly every year, before December.

OK. Again that doesn't prove anything by itself.

Makes sense the better coach would finish higher.

True; however, we also beat UGA, won our bowl and will likely finish ahead of them if they don't turn it around.

Not by themselves but you put them together it tells me that O led his team to a better season.

And before you put they had Bama on the ropes remember by itself that doesn’t mean anything. More data points go to LSU. Swap the two teams schedule and LSU could have accomplished the same things.

10-3. 3rd place in the West. Fiesta Bowl win.

10-3. 1st place in the East. Sugar Bowl loss.

Neither of those clearly screams "better".

You're arguing a better season in one year means that UGA can't/won't be a dynasty? Seems a bit pre mature to me.

You're arguing about who had a better season. My only point was that this season doesn't determine whether or not UGA will be a dynasty under Smart. A couple more seasons to really know for sure.
